Please consider sending a 250-500 word proposal for our paper or poster sessions. For research proposals, the abstract should include a purpose, method, results, and discussion section. In addition, proposals should state how the research or literature review directly relates to indigenous populations. For more information or to submit a proposal please contact Greg Urquhart at greg.urquhart@wsu.edu. Submission deadline is March 22nd., 2017. Admission is free.

49th Annual Kyiyo Pow Wow

The Annual Kyiyo Pow Wow Celebration is one of the oldest traditions of Kyiyo. The Annual Pow Wow Celebration unifies all Native American from across the nation in an event full of dancing, singing, and sharing of stories between all in attendance. The celebration is a time to preserve the rich heritage of Native Americans and renew the thoughts of the old traditions. NSF site visit

April 24 - April 27

PNW-COSMOS will host the National Science Foundation at Washington State University, University of Idaho, University of Montana, Salish Kootenai College, and Montana State University to showcase its accomplishments and for NSF to meet with faculty and students who are involved in the grant’s efforts. The visit is tentatively scheduled for April 24-27.
